The Beatles Evening - a unique evening presented by Bequia Beach Hotel’s owner Bengt Mortstedt with The Beatles’ only authorised biographer Hunter Davies giving an exclusive viewing of his private film on Paul McCartney and inside talk on the latest book he edited together with Yoko Ono, ‘The John Lennon Letters’. Bequia Easter Regatta – 4 days of traditional boat racing with sailors visiting from all over the world. Part of the Regatta will take place in the waters of Friendship Bay on Sunday 31st March and Bequia Beach Hotel will be the hottest spot to view this exciting event whether you are an ardent sailor or a land lubber! Bequia Music Fest celebrate their 10th Anniversary. Four days of non stop music including some of the best muscians from Barbados - saxophonist Aturo Tappin, Hip Hop band NEXCYX, guitarist Toby Armstrong and blues band Mount Gay. Further details
26 January 2013 - Music Fest ‘Party in the garden’
The Music Fest will culminate in a Garden Party at Bequia Beach Hotel where guests will be invited to listen to Barbados’s first lady of jazz CICI accompanied by NJ30. With it promising to be a sensational event the party will end with a jamming session from most of Bequia’s own extraordinary musicians.
16 March 2013 - Mystic Mustique
Another unique and fun evening – date provisional. Nicholas Courtney, the first CEO of the Mustique Company, will talk about his new book ‘Lord of the Isle’, a story of the extravagant life and times of Colin Tennant, Lord Glenconner. Nicholas worked closely with the peer and socialised with the many English Royals and famous pop artists that visited the island of Mustique. A special dinner will follow including music from the 60’s to 80’s era. Dress for the 1960’s, 70’s or 80’s to blend in!
